There are many homeowners who have problems with thick bumpy moss on the roof. This can destroy the roof covering in several ways and prevent rainwater from running off the roof properly. The roof brush consists of a frame of 56 cm where there are 4 sticks in aluminum coated with specially made 30 ppi foam rubber brushes that are replaceable and movable sideways so you can easily set them for the roof you are going to sweep; two-cup, plastic roof, metal roof etc and a telescopic shaft. (For single-cup, see art. No. TS3-1k). With the black plastic scrapers / roof scraper on the top, you can scrape the moss where it is harder and needed, eg where the pans overlap. 3 different scrapers are included for different roof tiles / shapes (see art. No. TB25).

When working with our roof brush Taksopen, you don't have to stand on the roof and press hard as you have to do with a regular broom / brush. You can stand on the ground and work. You just put the roof brush on the roof and pull it down, back and forth, rub and scrape with the opposite side, see also the videos. A traditional brush / broom requires you to stand on the roof and press hard against what you are sweeping. This is a risky, time-consuming and inefficient job, and expensive if you break your clay brick pans that can barely handle your weight.

You can of course also stand on a ladder, a scaffold or on the roof and sweep with the roof brush Taksopen TS3 if you take the necessary safety measures.

With regular sweeping of the roof, you also avoid that moss starts to grow back and that eventually destroys your roof. This tool greatly simplifies when removing moss on roofs. Recently, there was talk about the importance of having a roof free of debris and moss on TV4 news morning. See the clip on our facebook page.

The thin moss of 1-3 millimeters is more difficult, it can give way after regular sweeping for a while, alternatively you use some type of pesticide after you have swept down everything else with the roof brush Taksopen TS3.

It is easier, safer and more efficient to sweep and scrape with Taksopen. Check how high your house is and if you can reach with the roof brush and that you can work from the ground, from the ladder or from the roof. Include your own body length. The pictures next to it show the latest model of TS3.

There are more accessories that you can connect to the telescopic pole / shaft itself for even more use, see the tab "Telescopic poles with accessories". It is possible to connect, for example, a jigsaw, apple picker, paint rollers, brushes, brushes, window scraper, etc.

The blue brushes that come with the roof brush Taksopen are our "all-round" brushes and fit most roof types (not roofing felt) and are especially good for the lighter clay tile tiles so that you do not hit them too hard and risk being moved (so you have to go up on the roof and fix them). Extra brushes, scrapers and steel brushes are available to order, see the tab which is simply called "Accessories".

The brushes and scrapers' dimensions and shape are based on the most common concrete & tiles on the market. (For 1 cup brick, a deeper scraper, wider frame and wider brushes are required for the roof brush, see art. No. TS3-1k). (Should a scraper not fit your roof, just file / saw them a little).

Tip when choosing the length of the telescopic handle: You should never extend the telescopic handle to the maximum. It is advisable to save at least 20 cm in each previous tube. A 6 m handle will then end up at 6 m minus 60 cm = 5.4 m. An 8 meter handle will be about 7.40 - 7.50 if you save 20 cm in each previous tube.

Tip when choosing foam rubber brushes: The blue brushes are best suited for smooth roof surfaces (under moss..) and shape better in the contours than the white hard brushes, but the blue ones also wear out the most on rough, rough and rough roof surfaces. White brushes should not be used on clay tiles.

Made in Sweden, except for the telescopic poles which are made in Germany.

Washing facade package incl. water brush and 8 meter telescopic handle with retracted hose.

Description

Article no.: fasadpaket1b

A good cleaning package with efficient and gentle water brush and telescopic handle with retracted water hose and Gardena plug (male).

As an option, there is an angle adapter for extra hard-to-reach surfaces and angles. Choose with or without angle adapter when ordering here.

The screw attachment in the brush is already angled at about 45° degrees, which gives you a good working angle to the surface from the start when cleaning, see picture without v-adapter next door. The tip of the shaft is a threaded brass adapter that is screwed into the brass female of the brush (no plastic screws here...).

The brush is effective and gentle and can reach between e.g. the lid panels of the house. The brush weighs 370 grams. The telescopic handle weighs about 2.5 kg (about 2.5 liters of liquid).
The smoother the surface to clean with the brush, the better. Brushes wear more on e.g. sharp and rough plaster and thinly painted unpolished panels than painted aluminum or well-painted wood surfaces. Avoid surfaces painted with linseed oil paint or sensitive plaster.

You will be really impressed at how clean it gets with this tool. If you want to use an agent for hard surfaces, we recommend Tercol, which we sell. Apply the product and leave it on for at least 2-5 days without rain. A smart and easy way to get the product on the facade / roof is with our own solution "Package with Gloria pressure sprayer & special hose.". Here are several Gloria packages with our special hose in different price ranges. Then choose whether you want to rinse off the wall 2-5 days after treatment with the brush & water for fast and visible results, or let the weather rinse the surface over time..The longer the agent is allowed to work, the better.
Clean the brush from the agent afterwards.

If you want to sweep & scrape down moss on the roof, you can read more about our own patented product Taksopen TS3 here. If you need to treat roofs, facades, patios etc. with agents, we have collected some products here. If you need more brushes for the shaft and other accessories, you will find it here.
If you are looking for other packages for brushing (not liquid) high with a telescopic handle, e.g. for solar panels, you can find it here... Our popular snow plows for roofs can be found here.

If you want to use the same water-carrying handle for a Taksopen TS3 or Snow Plow SN3, you need this adapter and then choose TS3 and SN3 without handle. You have to keep in mind that you have to tie up the hose down by the handle so you do not trip on it. Also keep in mind that the hose makes the Taksopen / Snowplow about 800 grams heavier compared to if you would choose the tools with a handle, and without a hose, and then you put on a hose on the outside (plus brush) on the handle when you are going to e.g. wash the facade and then remove the hose when you are done. Telescopic handles with a hose inside should remain in the handle as it is difficult to get the hose back inside the pipes. It is not made to remove the hose inside the pipes.

Before starting work; Inspect the surfaces you are going to wash and where any obstacles are and locate and avoid power lines of course.

The hose is not intended for high pressure washing, max 10 bar.

SLIDESHOW

Why remove moss and other debris from the roof?

As a homeowner you have many important tasks, but the most important is probably to take care of your roof. The roof should protect one's house against rain, debris and harsh weather. Introduce a routine to review the roof and gutters at least 2 times a year, for example in the spring / summer and between autumn / winter. Sweep and scrape everything down with the patented Roof brush by Taksopen. Fast and efficient. Whether you intend to treat the roof with some kind of chemical solution, you still have to sweep down what can be swept down from the roof first. We recommend sweeping the roof regularly. In addition to all the rough and other debris on the roof, the Roof brush by Taksopen also gets down the green bulky moss that you can sometimes find in the gutter or on the ground after rain. A perfect tool for all owners of holiday homes and villas near forests and shade.

Roof top works great on all roofs like tiles, solar panels, concrete tiles, plastic roofs, sheet metal roofs, slate roofs, glass roofs, greenhouse roofs and more. A poorly maintained roof risks leading to leaks and other problems, which in turn can cause moisture, rot and other dullness. The cost of this type of damage can easily be unnecessarily large, especially if you discover it too late, and don't forget to remove the moss BEFORE it freezes so you don't crack the roof tiles, destroy the ceiling, or disturb the water drainage. The water should always be able to drain away from the house without being obstructed by moss, soil and coniferous etc. Maintain your roof quickly and easily with the Roof brush by Taksopen!
